Circus Cooperative Cafe was founded by cafe workers who spent years looking for an equitable workplace in the Greater Boston Area and constantly ran into the same struggles — underpaid hourly workers answering to owners they never see and managers more interested in their bottom line than creating a safe workspace.

The cooperative structure allows for us all to have a say in the company, from the food we serve to the layout of our cafe to the structure of our decision-making process. We hope you feel the intentionality in every detail of our space. And with partners like Equal Exchange, Danish Pastry House, A&J King, Speedwell, Curio, and MEM Tea, our coffee and pastry programs will give you more reasons to visit than supporting one of Cambridge’s few cooperative cafes — we strive to offer the best products and service in the neighborhood.
